Sorry about your loss. I lost my brother too, so I know what it means. About the manual. I just bought a 2003 Savage, and a 86-88 Clymers. From what I see so far the manual is fine. Except for the fifth gear in the tranny. I spoke to several knowlegable people and they all agreed that the manual will work for any Savage from 86-present. There might be small differences but nothing major. And if you run across anything odd, just ask here. These people are pretty smart about the Savage. Oh Yeah, hang on to that bike. For your brother, and yourself.
